Visited on a Friday at 2pm and was welcomed with a hello and asked how many people we needed a table for (2 of us) and were seated straight away. We had a hot drink each (double cappuccino and a pot of tea), toasted fruit loaf, cherry scone with all the trimmings, a slice of coffee and walnut cake and a slice of cherry almond cake. The food was delicious and served promptly. Good selection of cakes on display which all looked delicious, it was hard to choose which one to have! Lovely little space and very friendly staff who served with a smile. Our bill came to a total of 26 which for what we ordered was a reasonable price.

Dear Cakey Fans! If you had to ask me: Stewie, given half a chance, in which cake parlour across the UK would you like to roll around naked dripping in cake? Well, not only would you be surprised by how often I get asked that question*, but I actually do have an answer. And that is a lovely little cafe nestled away in Hathersage deep in the heart of Derbyshire by the name of Cintra’s. Now I know you’re chomping at the bit to know what cake I’d like to smear all over myself, and let’s face it, there’s plenty of succulent treats to choose from. Gary, the chef, makes the best cakes around by a country mile and honestly, at about thirty minutes, it’s well worth a trip out from Sheffield to sample what he has to offer. The cakes, that is (not Gary). So, on the cake front, Cintra’s does not fail to deliver. There’s a selection of yummy things to tempt you when you walk through the door (which in my case is practically entrapment!). You’ve got the usual favourites: Coffee and Walnut, Coffee, Lemon, etc., which are all scrummy, but by FAR the popular favourite is the raspberry and almond, which is really light and moist and rich with flavour ( you can really taste the almond). It’s delicious! I could wax lyrical all day about the raspberry scones, the lovely tea with honey, the sandwiches, and the frankly yummy meat pie, but the cakes really are something else. I’ve got a few more places to try this season, but right now, I give Cintra’s the highest possible marks for their cake. Cake Score: Five NOMS. Well worth a visit. Just tell Julie Stewie sent you. More reviews soon! *It’s once. OK. Just once.

Visited today, we had the feshest scones with jam and cream, freshly made rich coffees. Sat outside in the rear garden. Staff were lovely.

We came here as a group of 11 people for afternoon tea. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. We were sat under the marquee which was very nice and had our own space to enjoy the afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was impressive, the portions were excellent with the option to add prosecco too! We ended up taking lots back with us as there was so much choice. We were also pleased that they were able to cater for a vegan person in our group, which was appreciated. The service was great. We really enjoyed ourselves, thank you.

The only place I’ll go to for afternoon tea. Choose your filling of sandwich, slab of cake. Matched with a raspberry scone. Service spot on and loads of walks nearby to walk it off! I travelled from London for this and would always do again! 16 with unlimited tea, great value. Also have loads of other cafe favourites e.g toasties jacket potatoes etc

It's lovely here and the food is great. We've been twice now, for lunch and for breakfast and have thoroughly enjoyed both meals. The staff are really friendly and take time to engage with you past just taking your food orders. Would highly recommend.
